NIBS

♦ One of our specialities here at Franklin-Christoph is fountain pen nibs. Of course on every pen we sell, but also for individual sale. We use JoWo style housings, so pens that fit #5 (smaller) or #6 (larger) in that form are compatible. 

♦ The first two listings #5 Nib Unit and #6 Nib Unit contain most of our daily stock. We also have some listings here for occasional production of other options. Note that Nagahara grinds are only sold with Franklin-Christoph pens due to their scarcity.

♦ We use a 7 step tuning and smoothing process performed by well trained nib pros for each and every nib. 

♦ Note that the number one issue causing nib scratchiness is when the tines are out of alignment, so it is essential that you use the proper method to remove and install nibs from pens. You can see that demonstrated here in this video by the late Jim Rouse: Nib Installation Method Video
