♦ The Models 65 & 66 are the production pieces for what we created as our tester kit in late 2011. We planned to do this eventually, but high demand has pushed us to put them ahead of schedule.
♦ The 65 is the smaller of the two, and uses the smaller #5 HP Steel or 18K nib. The capped length of the 65 equals 5.85". The barrel from nib tip to end is 5.6". With cap posted, the pen measures 6.2" from nib tip to cap end. The diameter of the barrel near the cap is .51". The smallest diameter of the grip section is .39".
♦ The 66 is the larger of the two, and uses the larger #6 HP Steel or 18K nib. The capped length of the 66 equals 6.3". The uncapped pen from nib tip to barrel end is 6.1". With cap posted, the pen measures 6.85" from nib tip to cap end. The diameter of the barrel near the cap is .55" . The smallest diameter of the grip section is .42"
♦ There is a flat side on each barrel which allows the pen to be placed on a desk without rolling. This spot also contains the blind engraving "Franklin-Christoph Model 65" (or 66). The caps post deeply on both pens for balanced writing.
♦ Featuring the introduction of our special block threads at the end of the grip section. The block threads are out of the way of your fingers, and smooth to the touch as it is. Placing the threads at this spot limits the amount of air within the cap chamber, thereby helping to eliminate dry out. The design of the block threads also releases the air when you unscrew so as to not create a suction effect on the ink.
♦ Each pen can be filled via long or short international cartridge, by converter, or via eye dropper. We recommend a little silicone grease on the threads if you use as an eye dropper.
♦ One cartridge, one converter, and gift box is included with each pen.
