The
Calling....by J.D. Roland
She stands
Against the wind
Waves at furies end
Lapping at her feet
Her hair in keeping
With the gale
Transparent gown billowing
In translucent waves
The sun relinquishes
Its grip at days end
She calls out
I require this void be gone
Finished with her loneliness
She casts out her love
Like fishing net
Strengthened in her longing
Never to return
With sunset reflecting in her eyes
Her bare feet clutching the sand
She challenges the wind
Reaching out with palms extended
Return my love as it is given
Return with last attempt
For I am here
On Donegal Shore
My place of places
My haven heart
My harbinger
Join me to live and love
An empty heart awakes at sunset's
end
