Ettore Bugatti was born in Milan on September 15, 1881. His was an artist’s
family, where his father became famous for exceptional furniture creations.
When he was just 17, he equipped a tricycle with a motor, and soon
thereafter he participated in a race with his first vehicle.
In 1901 EB was awarded by the French Automobile Club with his first prize,
the “T2” at the International exhibition in Milan, where he had presented
his first self-made automobile.
